In addition to Mark's suggestion, you can also see which OCX an ActiveX control lives in in the Insert Control dialog. Many of the merge modules are named similarly (for example, MSCOMCTL.MSM contains the OCX and related files for MSCOMCTL.OCX, which has the version 6 TreeView, ImageList, ListView, and other controls), so often it's not too difficult to figure out which one to use once you know that.
