i'm not keen buying/incorporating another package
(e.g. Crystal Reports) to do an ordinary thing.

garret, i appreciate your observation about the activex
not stretching on overflow. that pretty much kills that
approach.

decided that automating word is the way to go.
so right now my question boils down to:

can anybody give me an example of how to cut RTF-text
from the RichTextBox Control onto the CLIPBOARD so i
can do a paste into the word document. ??

or, it doesn't even have to be from the control. i've
got the RTF-text in a memo field and need to get it into
the ClipBoard -- in the "Rich Text Format" clipboard format.

will be more than happy to share a full working example
if i can get this to work. seems like a feature that would
be commonly desired.
