I'm also in the process of learning how to build a VFP application. I'm finding the Fundamentals book put out by Hentzenwerke very well-written, instructional, and practical. It's well worth the money. There is a lot to building a framework in VFP over the code you presented above, so I'm afraid we will need more instruction than a few 'tips'.
