I found an article in the July 1997 issue by Lee Zuckett called "Solve the Database Replication Dilemma". In it he 'solves' the issue of multiple users taking a view offline by creating a view for each user. While functional, I'm not really impressed with the approach, especially because I'm dealing with a large number of users. However, the code snippit for copying the DBC while the app is running is worth noting.

Is this the article you were thinking of? If not, please let me know what issue the other one was in.
