Mike,

The discussion about .NET - C# and VB.NET - you recently handled on the .NET forum has been really interesting and enlightening for me. As a developer who has worked with VFP since FoxBase+, C language and does classic ASP and VB 6 to write little apps and business components I have recently been thinking about the best strategy to take given that a new hole perspective is here around the corner for enterprise application design and development. So as for thousands of programmers the question now is to .NET or not to ... or should I say when to .NETize? So when it comes to, which language to choose? After reading this discussion I will get into .NET using ASP.NET and C#. I believe my knowledge of C and Javascript can help me to learn and get used to it more quickly, and the fact that has been adopted as a standard by the ECMA removes the propietary sticker from it.

I had also been thinking in learning Java and entering the Open Source world as an alternative to .NET ... do you think this is a good alternative?

Thanks in advance for your comments,
Solo se que nada se
