>Like a cameraman at CBS News who let everybody in, or me for eample – (I worked for an investment bank for a time). Also people are harder to impress now. We've gotten too jaded. Chaining yourself to the White House isn't so shocking anymore.

That's the power of media. Anything may work - first time. Even landing on the Moon began losing ratings after the second time. A good trick may get you attention first time, not because your cause is worthy, important or whatever, but because it may sell some ad space.

On the other end we had The Walk of 96/97, where an average of 150,000 people were walking the streets of Belgrade for 88 days (99 in Nish, they started two days earlier), and the (government-run) TV managed to not notice them for a full month, and even then they weren't getting more than a few seconds.

>Most of us ex-ACTUPer's are alive, well and back to work. So we don't have the time anymore. Plus the issue has passed. Except for some environmental concerns I actually think globalization is a good thing. (ducking...) Okay, I've become part of the "system". :)

Good for you. But it's just pissing the rest of the world off, and will bite you from behind later.
