Michael,

I think you have to get the VFP startup error message fixed before much is going to reliably run.

1) are you starting VFP with any sort of parameters?
2) once inside VFP under Tools/Options/File locations are all of the entries valid? especially Default Directory, Resource File, Search Path, Startup program and Temporary Files?

Since doing this, the error message is displayed everytime I run VFP. I considered the possibility of a rogue INI file having an influence on the system. I have looked around, but found nothing. I have also checked the file locations in the setting of the IDE. Nothing seems out of order there. Any other ideas?
