Michael,

I think you have to get the VFP startup error message fixed before much is going to reliably run.

1) are you starting VFP with any sort of parameters?
2) once inside VFP under Tools/Options/File locations are all of the entries valid? especially Default Directory, Resource File, Search Path, Startup program and Temporary Files?
