Hi!
Tony, there are no other way but use some ActiveX or Graph control. The most popular tools are MS Graph control from MS Office, Excel Chart control from Excel, and Tee Chart control. There are also a lot of other controls for Graphs building. All these controls worth their price - you will save on development time.
Well, you can buy, for example, some ActiveX that allow you to draw a picture, save into BMP file and use in the VFP report just as a bitmap. However, to draw a good graph as a picture, you will require to write quite complex program with a lot of low-level calculations (I did such things in the past in Turbo Pascal). It is possible that development of all this will take more time than just buying a good tool. The optimal solution is using the MS Office (Excel chart or MS Graph control), because MS Office widely used and as a result usually installed or available for installing on many computers.
HTH.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
