Hi!

I wondered: when you used no colors, you got the C5 crash too? From you message it looks so. If yes, then get rid of that error at all first. If this is just during development, try to reinstall VFP. Also, try to use the latest version of VFP. I'm saying so because I'm working a lot in VFP6 SP5 and get no crash without reason for years, except the compbinations I know for sure and that I never use.

VFP was not created to throw C5 errors on every step. VFP is very complex and flexible development system, so developers might find a lot of combinations of code, configurations and actions that can cause C5 crashes. This is developer's weakness, not the VFP's.

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
