>Many, many times... Usually it has to do with the textbox not being enabled at the time the focus is being set (check refreshes, etc). Also, there could be code in a page Activate that is throwing it around. I have to run at the moment, but when I get back if you haven't resolved it I'll search through my threads and see if I can find this. I have many, many posts regarding this from back a few months ago. Maybe a PUTM can jump in in the meantime. Oh, also check if you are setting the focus from a valid or click and then have code that runs after it. It can get confused there too.

Actually I SETFOCUS() in the page activate.
