After I close the project and shut down VisualFox and then start the project backup the view is their but the table that it is based on is no longer associated with the view, that is where my problem is.

Serg pointed out the path issue. I try to code by had my views.
Create SQL view 'view_name_here' as
Select
From
where Yada Yada
You can find the app eView here in the download section this is great at taking the code that is in the DBC and making a prg file from it. You can then tweak your view to suit you. You also learn what else is necessary in dealing with views.
