That would be putting a band-aid on it...it's better to find the culprit (and you will really now how to avoid problem in the future)

How are you switching pages? By mouse or keyboard action? If by keyboard, is there anything in keypress() method of textbox?

Also, put the following in setfocus() of textbox, and see if the setfocus() is really being called:

activate screen
? program()
