Yes... I notice this behavior, Colin.

This same problem can occur with W97.
During my observations I notice this happens when running another task like interacting with ICQ when doverb() is executed, in my case. I can't imagine (for a while) why it occurs. If you choose ok, the word window will also come up, but the process can finish with success.

I'll make more tests to try solving this mystery.
