Cetin,
This was the answer. I didn't notice that the fields could be marked as updateable or not! Thank you!!!
I am fairly new to VFP. I started programming in Foxbase+ then FoxPro 1.0 and 2.0. But then I transferred to a new dept and didn't program in Fox until V7.0. I have so much to learn about Object Oriented programming.
