Hello Keith,

>I'm getting started with my first report design and need some suggestions on how to determine whether to display in Portrait or Landscape mode. I have a basic report layout of each type built, but am not sure of how to decide which to use.

This is either an end-user requirement, or is determined by how much you need to fit horizontally on the page.

No, at least not without extreme trickery when preparing your cursors for the report. But, why do you want to do that? Use legal paper and landscape mode, when necessary. If you have too many columns, stack the data in a taller detail band, and use different fonts and lines to make it as readable as possible.
