I do remember doing something like
! SQLQUERY && Gathers Remote Data Info
Do VFPGRP && Garbage Removal Procedure
! MSARPT && MS Access MDB (VB 6.0 code) Managment Report Generator

All in one VFP EXE - That did not require ODBC because the free table from VFP was already seen by the MBD as VFP table.

I don't recall having a problem with Run MDB ...

I look for the code on my home pc
