We are running Norton Anti-virus and it turns out that was the problem. We used to use VirusScan and got burned by that too...didn't even occur to us to check Norton now that we are using it. Thank you so much for your help!!!!


>I've had problems with a VFP project opening slowly when the project is in SourceSafe. In my case, it was due to VirusScan. Disabling it will speed it up. Also, another suggestion to improve performance is to clean up old project data in VSS. When the history file is large, it slows it down. I use VFP 6/7 and VSS on Win2K with no probs currently.
