For some reason I lose all the DE entries after modifying an object on the form - somtimes even just opening the form in modify mode but not saving changes. Usally not everytime but now it is very consistant.

I had the exact same experience with one form I was working on a couple of years agao in VFP 5.0. I never did figure out what was causing the problem, but I finally got so tired of it that I opened the tables manually in the Form.Load(). I suggest you do the same.
