have you already tried to use macro substition like COPY FILE &cFile1 TO &cFile2 ? I remember I decided to do it this way for some reason I don't remember <g>. Putting double quotes around the filenames is a good idea, otherwise you won't be able to copy files that have one or more spaces in their name.
