Ok, that worked, but why? There weren't any trailing spaces. Not only could I see there weren't any in the debugger, but when I cut and pasted the contents into variables in the command window (again, with no trailing spaces), it also choked. But doing an ALLTRIM on a variable with no extra spaces makes it suddenly OK? That is really bizarre...

But, thanks for getting me to try it. LOL! Speed is important since I could potentially be copying thousands of files.
