My programs are starting to crash left and right. Looks like time to reinstall Windows 95. Since I've never reinstalled Windows 95, can anyone tell me the "right" way to do it?

Specifically:
Q1. Can I just reinstall Windows 95 without loosing my current configuration?
Q2. If no for Q1, should I, just in case, install it in another directory?

I have dozens of programs I've installed since I originally set this machine up and reinstalling all the programs seems like a lot of work. Is there anyway to avoid this time consuming chore???
