Hilmar,
It all depends on the publisher. Most will not give you any problems about your code being available in other places -- it is, after all, YOUR code. Most publishers will also allow you to post the entire article on your own online site, but some do not. You will have to check the author contract very carefully before posting the entire article.
I think you are OK to post the code itself, with explanatory comments.
>I wrote an article proposal about a VFP class I wrote, and understand that the publisher may take 2-3 months to answer.

>I am also interested in placing the class itself in the public domain (UT FAQ), but I don't know whether that would be compatible with writing the article.

>Any ideas? Should I just wait a while, until the publisher answers - or doesn't answer?
