What specifically do you mean when you say "it jumps"? Ultimately (not to pass the buck), MsgSvc is a utility written by Steven Black...we simply redistribute his public domain version with the Framework. I say this to let you know that, although I'm very familiar with Mere Mortals, I'm not familiar with what's going on behind the scenes with MsgSvc.
