I'm forced to use Delphi for certain apps in my work environment. Both Delphi and VFP meet almost all (actually so far, all of them) of the development requirements I've had. However, I will choose to use VFP whenever possible because I am the most comfortable with it (used it since 1983) which makes it a faster development tool for ME. Besides, I HATE the semicolons at the end of every line in Delphi!!! I spend extra time going back and adding semicolons ALWAYS in Delphi which slows down the entire development process for ME. Now, whichever .NET language has the closest syntax to VFP or the closest 'language style' without sacrificing functionality is the one I would choose, because the learning curve would be the fastest for ME. However, I did learn C in school :0) Just my personal opinion...
