it is not working if I have the code in the Validated event. A matter of fact, my message box shows up 3 or 4 times. This also happens if I put the code in the Validating event. If I put the code in the Leave event, it only works using the hot key for the Cancel button. If the user clicks on the Cancel button the validating messagebox still shows one time. What am I doing wrong? The code in the cancel button is

I don't know if this is a factor or not. Also the message box shows up when the form is instantiated.
