I hope that the 2 1/2 - 3 hour journey is not your typical commute! We have a number of people where I work that commute 150 miles one way each work day. I have met many people at other companies that also do this. It is expensive to live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but you have to be nuts to spend so many hours on the road each day.
