Actually I don't think this is going to work in my case, because when the form is opened only two controls are enabled, a textbox for the date and an exit button. If the causesvalidation is set to false then the date should never get validated. Really the validation event should only run if the user presses the TAB key, but it is not recognized in the key press event. Is there a way to tell the TAB key has been pressed?
