Can you define "totally different"? Is it just the case? IIRC, unix is case sensitive. If that's it, VFP7 has the option to retain the case. If it's the 8.3 vs long file names, then VFP7 can handle that, too. If you're telling me that the file is really "myfile.txt" and ADIR() is showing "yourfile.doc", then something is wacky.

>In my properties box of a particular file(cadam drawing files) the displayed file name is totally different than the MS-Dos name. These drawings are stored on a unix server. When changes are required the drawing is pulled up on an NT server. After changes it is put back on the unix server.
