I'm really curious about on what you base this assessment. From what we've seen of all of the framework ProMatrix appears to be the least OOPish and the most 2.6 like.

Visual FoxExpress also include audit trails. VPM's audit trails really can be considered true audit trails because they only detect changes made while the app is running. VFE's audit trail is actually implemented via the DBC and can be in effect at all time, whether or not the application is running.
