>I don't remember all of the details...but I remember reading an article a while back that talked about creating a container and using the container in a grid. You can put all the controls you want in the container; combo, editbox, etc.

>>I've been playing with grids today and had two questions. First of all I want to try and fit about twenty fields into the grid. One of the fields is a 100 character field all of which needs to be displayed. Is there a way to have the thing show two lines of 50 characters each and have the text wrap? Secondly I was wondering how I can put a drop down field into one of the grid fields.

Your second question:

Open the class browser and click on the control you want to use. (combobox)
The control will display in the upper left corner of the class browser
This control will drag and drop later in the process...

Open the form with a grid in it

Add a column to the grid

Activate the grid by clicking on the grid

Drill down to the text contol under the new column in the properties window

left click back on the grid

press the delete button

Drill down to the header of the new column in the properties window

drag the desired control from the class browser and drop it on the new column.
Thanks,

Stacy
