I just installed SP3-4 and my Pervasive Control Center evolved into a completely new program! Perhaps it can show me the relations between tables?

I think I originally misjudged Pervasive. I'm not sure how stable it is, but the company provides tons of tools to interface with it and documentation. This may turn out to be fun on the DBA side of things!

It's data integrity checking ensures that records in child tables have matching records in parent tables (among other things), so perhaps you're creating a record in a child table without the matching parent. What tables are you creating records in?
