>How would you compare it to Kiztbuehl? It's true the name says it all, as per what you say. :)

I don't know anything about Kiztbuehl. I have no desire to ski Grizzly. 74 degrees is just NUTS! I ski at The Canyons, just outside of Park City. This is where the Today show is based during the games...and I certainly don't go on 74 degree slopes.

>>The Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz, has been renamed the "Salt Lake Ice Center" because the Olypmics don't allow company names on the venues. Located in downtown SLC, it will host figure skating and short track speed skating. It is one block southwest of the Medals Plaza.

>I was not aware of that approach by the OIC. Nice they changed the name.

It's kinda strange in this case. The Delta Center is named after Delta Airlines, which is an official Olympic sponsor. Salt Lake City is a Delta hub.

>>The Olympic Oval is suburban SLC will host speed skating. It is considered the fastest ice on earth. In the one year since the arena has been used, 5 world records have been set. Many athletes and reporters feel that a world record could be set in all speed skating events there.

>What makes it faster? Is it mostly related to the gravitation which is lowered?

Two things: altitude (about 4500 feet) and they way they built the floor. They poured the concrete three times before they were statisfied with it.
