I live about 2 miles south of Olympic Stadium. I could hear the fireworks from my living room and see them from my yard. I can't see the flame from here, but I will be driving around the area the next few days and get some pics.

Just another couple of notes. SLC is the largest city to host the Winter Olympics. The stadium of 55,000 was also the largest stadium crowd to watch an opening ceremonies.
