Reports & Report designer
The way I am doing it, I copy the picture file along with the report data (I do all the query and record selection in VFP, and use COPY TO xxx TYPE FOX2X to generate tables that Crystal can read directly, no VFP ODBC driver needed). I copy the picture named in a character field in my table to that same location using a common file name. In Crystal, I have created an OLE linked image, so that each time the report is run the image refreshes to the current one.
This is the best and pretty much only way I have found to do this so far, and to make it work on all workstations at my client I had to use BMP files, since Windows PC's don't all automatically have JPG viewers, especially if Internet Explorer is not installed. Displaying images is the one area where Crystal falls short of the VFP report writer.
