Yes, I have tried using tableupdate() to no avail. I am using a primary key in the source table and am even setting the view to the same key.

The perplexing thing is that this all works fine if I just use a simple grid on a simple form. I can't find any properties that are different, except that it works with the direct method and doesn't with the class.

It's looking more like a debugging nighmare...
