It's better to use FULLPATH("") to get current VFP directory because it returns full path includung drive letter.
>Check sys(2003) setting right before you open the tables and see if the 'set default' setting is the same location as the old database that you do NOT want to connect to. VFP will always use the 'set default' settig FIRST and if it cannot locate the tables/dbc there, THEN it uses the path setting.
