I don't think I ever said "thanks" for your DirectPrintOutput class. I'm using it with good success. For example, we have a pinfeed printer that we use to log in each check-in or check-out at the resort that uses my app. Just want to write a few lines with no form feed for each one. Your class does the job.
I used to use FWRITE but it was sometimes slow and would hardly work at all under Win 2K.
FYI, I had to replace the TRANSFORM function with STR to make it work under VFP 5.0.
