Thanks. I was thinking about doing it that way when I originally posted. I ran into the following:

- If the form calls the procedure from the init the form never showed up.

- So I moved the procedure call to the forms activate event. Now the forms shows and the procdeure runs, however the form was not modal. I think short-circuiting the activate caused it.

- In an old Jim Booth post, he suggested putting a textbox on the form and doing the procedure call in it's gotFocus. That's my next step.

IAC, the modeless form is working ok for now. Thanks again for the help.
