Linda,
Is it possible that the FOX Com server is an .exe server (Ren.exe?)? In that case, you have to modify some settings in IIS as you would for any .exe server called from ASP. In addition, you would need to include the vfp6r.dll. For a .Exe server, I think you also need the DCOM utility to set up the COM Server. The failure in CreateObject means it can't create that FOX Com server for some reason which could be:
1.) Runtimes (vfp6r.dll,vfp6t.dll,vfp6renu.dll) are missing
2.) Runtimes can't be found. They need to be in either \winnt\Sytem32 or the same folder that the FOX COM server is in.
3.) The server is not registered properly using either regsvr32 (.dll) or DCOM (.Exe)
Good luck!
>Thank you for your rapid response. Since I am working from home following surgery, I had to wait for someone else to implement the suggestion. We have done so and tried several alternatives. The only other thing I could think of was to do a complete Visual Fox Pro installation on the test server - but the original VFP program CD's are missing. While I await action on getting some replacement CD's, is there anything else you suggest - or am I on the wrong track?
