The weird appearance was that letters were wide apart and messy, but 'a' was 'a' and 'c' was 'c'.

However after reading Antonio Lopes"s suggestion, I went back to change the font into another true type font. The problem is solved and the report is printed out nicely. Nevertheless I am still wondering what is wrong with the MS Saf Serif since it shows itself as a true type font.
