Microsoft SQL Server
We got the linked server working. I'm not sure which of the following did the trick, but here is the sequence of events as best I remember them.
I had the sysadmin create an account on the remote box that I wanted to connect to via a linked server. This account has the same username/password as the account that the SQL Server Service is running as on the box I want to connect from. This alone did not work. The I then asked the sysadmin to humor me and create a system dsn on the server I want to connect from. He was able to do this, and then viola the linked server started working as if by magic.
Does this sequence of events make sense to anyone?

But hey, I did get something out this. I can now debug stored procedures on as the service is running with a domain account now. I'll post an update when I get the accounts setup (hopefully this year - arrrgh!)
