There is a marked difference between misleading and confusing people.

Put another way, you say what you think. As long as you understand that just because you think something is true, it does not qualify as substantive proof of the matter. For that, you need to offer some *objective* facts. Certainly, general observations in the world at large qualify. Even anecdotal evidence work depending on the context.
