Actually, they did. On the VFP 7 CD, there is a directory for technical articles. One of them shows you what merge modules need to be selected to deploy a VFP 7 application. It's called vfpdeploy.doc. Mike Stewart from MS wrote it.

Jim Saunders from MS posted a message about a utility from MS you can get to view the contents of merge modules. It's called Orca and you can find on MS site here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?url=/downloads/sample.asp?url=/msdn-files/027/001/530/msdncompositedoc.xml. You can use it in conjunction with the deployment document to find out exactly what files InstallShield Express installs. You can then copy thoses files manually into your target directory.

They were both written using Visual C++; however, I don't remember if the VFP versions corresponded to the VC++ versions. VC++ 7 is new so the run-time doesn't exist on systems as of yet. Since VS.NET has been released and VC++ 7 is part of that, it is only a matter of time before the run-time gets propagated.
