I already posted a response on my message board to you. Basically, don't worry too much about
how DCOM works. It works almost the same way as a local server as far as server creation and
connecting to it goes.

The only tricky part is getting the permissions right on the remoted servers. You need to
use DCOMCnfg to configure your remote server to allow access by the remote client.

The Web Connection documentation (since you are a WC user {s}) has a whole section on
configuring a server for remote deployment. While it is aimed at deploying a Web Connection
server across the network, almost all of the issues apply to any server along with tips
on to how test and build your servers prior to actually calling them remotely and hanging
up your machine {bg}... just kidding. Problems can be hard to debug.
