Robert,

I have a "work-in-progress" FTP class I wrote (rather, I improved upon Robert Abram's FTP class written Sept-1998). It has just about all the functions one would need for FTP. AND! The good part is the upload and download function are NOT blocking calls! They are real-time functions that display a progress meter. I say "work-in-progress" because I want to add estimated time and the ability to cancel the tranfer. Right now it just tells you it's received/sent so many bytes of the total file size (if you're downloading, it can't always determine the remote file size due to variations in FTP servers).

Anyway, I'd be happy to share it with you and maybe you can use that as a means to fetch files from some FTP server somewhere you have setup. Let me know (I don't want to post it to UT until it's ready!).

Steve

I wouldn't mind doing that sort of work but I'd rather buy it right now seeing as how there are so many other things on my plate for this application that are much more custom and in need. Do you know of some controls that would perform that kind of functions?
