Reports & Report designer
Yes, my method is only for a single image at a time. My report that uses this is 8-10 pages long, but is only 1 record (plus a few child records out of related tables), so this works for me. It's not perfect, as for whatever reason the images are very small on my Windows XP system, but when the exact same RPT file and the exact same images are used at the client site on Windows 98 systems, the size is perfect.
I have been searching for a solution that could be used for ie a catalog report that would print a picture next to each item's description, but have yet to find a workable solution. From what I get of the messages on the Crystal Decisions formums, you just can't do this - why they leave out this critical feature is beyond me, and there is enough traffic in their forums to suggest that there are MANY users who would want this functionality. It would be so nice just to have a checkbox in a field definition that says "Display Image" so that you can pass a field containign a filename and it would show that, no muss, no fuss.

>Thank you so much Randy. I have been reading your post several times in order to really understand on how you do it. I think you are genius. However I still cannot get through your explanation totally.
>By copying an image into a common name, will we get only a record in the report at a time? How to show multiple records with correct images in the report?
