Your first message didn't indicate this was an "error alert" situation, it looked more like it was a "I just finished my routine task" message.

I think I'd go with an email alert notification in your case.

FWIW - the error to call the MB_SYSMMODAL will occur when certain incoming datastream components (such as a product identification code) is marked as invalid. The manager will have to decide on approrpriate action (such as replacement/replinishment procedures)...
