>In Usenet, when a person takes a message off topic, they'll change the topic to something like: "OT New Topic (Was: Old Topic)". If there was a way for a person to do that here, or, if changing the topic in a branch is impossible, to mark it as OT, that would help a lot. Usually a person taking a subject OT knows it. It's not a perfect system, because the person would have to remember to do it, but it's no worse than the stars. So, stars for answers, OTs for OT in the thread. Makes sense to me.
