I am using a VFP6 front end with an SQL Server 7 database. I am looking for
a utility for a client that will allow them to create queries on the
database and export them to a customizable formatted file.

The utility needs to be user friendly in the sense that the field and table
names must be in English ('fname' would be displayed as 'Employee First
Name'). The utility would need to be able to tie into a data dictionary type
of structure to pull the descriptive information.

The Query capabilities must allow for range specified data, filtering,
summing, grouping, etc.

A utility that is also Oracle compliant, or that would work through our
current FoxPro views (to any database) would allow for expansion in the
future and would definitely be a selling feature.

Any suggestions...


(I currently have looked at FoxFire and Query Maker, so any input on these
would be appreciated as well)
