Looking at it I think this is the way for me to go. I'll have to revamp a couple things to make it work and do the query the way I need. You have a good idea; if I open with either NoData or a limited number of records it should be pretty quick. I know I should have thought of something like this at the data modeling stage, but it just got lost through the cracks...
